“The Campaign for 1901 Venice” re-imagined Loyola’s Xavier Center into Caruso Hall—a 21st-century liturgical, educational and special events space as well as the gateway to the western end of campus. The project consisted of demolishing the existing building and constructing a new, modernized ADA-compliant, multi-purpose facility. The design took inspiration from two Collegiate Gothic buildings on campus, Loyola Hall and Rupert Hall, which were built in the early 20th century.
