Renderings: Clippers | AECOM

The Intuit Dome, which will serve as the LA Clippers’ new home, is the latest iteration of high-performance stadiums that reinforce Los Angeles as the entertainment capital of the world. The monumental arena is composed of steel construction over subterranean concrete levels. Capped by a diagrid steel canopy, the entire dome is designed to resemble the movement of a basketball net.

Sustainability is a core focus of this project, with the design team pursuing LEED Platinum certification. The venue will be naturally ventilated and fully electric through batteries and solar power with enough on-site energy storage to power a basketball game or concert, and have no net greenhouse gas emissions. It will feature a comprehensive waste reduction program to eradicate landfill waste on site and extensive programs to improve regional air quality.
